Excursions to the surroundings of Budapest

Wine tour in Etyek

The Etyek-Buda wine region – located only 30 minutes from the capital – is the youngest and fastest growing of the Hungarian wine regions. With our small group tours you will have a unique, personal experience. It is also possible to add chocolate or cheese tasting to the excursion.

Danube bend tour

Visit Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre, the 3 most beautiful cities of the Danube Bend. In Esztergom you can visit the largest cathedral of Hungary. In Visegrád you will walk close the 750 year-old stones of the formal Royal Residence, learn about life in the middle ages and enjoy the fascinating panorama of the Danube valley. On the way back you will stop in the artists village of Szentendre, where you can walk around the baroque town built on medieval ruins and go up the narrow streets to the panorama point to have a nice view of the Danube.

Lake Balaton Tour

Combine pleasure, culture and nature in just one trip! You get to see the largest fresh-water lake of Central Europe, the Lake Balaton. During this excursion you will visit Balatonfüred which is a lovely small town on the north shore of Lake Balaton. We invite you for a short city sightseeing with a „nostalgia train”. Before a one-hour cruise on the Lake Balaton, you will have time to walk along the picturesque promenade. Next, we drive to the Tihany Peninsula, where you can enjoy the unique view of the Balaton. Then you will have the opportunity to visit the Abbey of Tihany, founded in 1055 by the Hungarian King, Andras. The tour ends in Budapest.

Herend and Lake Balaton Tour

We take you to Herend first, to the world’s largest Porcelain Manufactory. Following a guided tour through the rooms we invite you for a coffee. Next, we drive to Lake Balaton, the largest fresh-water lake of Central Europe. We will visit the abbey on the Tihany Peninsula. After we go to Balatonfüred, and walk along the famous promenade. Finally, we return to Budapest.

Puszta program

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta! First you will have a walking city tour in Kecskemét, the capital city of the Puszta, then you will be taken to the Puszta program, where you will be welcomed with “Pálinka”, a traditional Hungarian brandy and salty scones. After the great performance of the famous horsemen and a carriage ride through the Puszta a typical Hungarian meal with wine is served in the „csárda” accompanied with gipsy music.

Excursion to Gödöllő

You can visit the former Summer-Residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sissi) in Gödöllő, which is the second largest baroque chateau of the world.
